Cardio Sweat Flashcards
Alpha-1 Tissue
Most vascular smooth muscle including uterus. Pupillary dilator muscle. Pilomotor muscle. Liver
Alpha-1 Actions
Contracts smooth muscle, constricts uterine vessels, mydriasis, erects hair, stimulates glycogenolysis.
Alpha-2 Tissue
Adrenergic & cholinergic nerve terminals. Platlets. Some vascular smooth muscle. Fat cells. Pancreatic B cells.
Alpha-2 Actions
Inhibits transmitter release. Stimulates aggregation. Contracts smooth muscle. Inhibits lypolysis. Inhibits insulin release.
Beta-1 Tissue
Heart, Juxtaglomerular cells of kidney
Beta-1 Action
Stimulates increase heart rate and force. Stimulates renin release.
β1: increases sympathetic activation of the heart leading to increased contractility, HR, and increased conduction through the AV node
Beta-2 Tissue
Airways, uterine, and vascular smooth muscle. Liver, Pancreatic B cells. Somatic motor neuron terminals(voluntary muscle). Heart.
Beta-2 Action
Relaxes airways, uterine, and vascular smooth muscle. Stimulates glycogenolysis. Stimulates insulin release. Causes tremor. Stimulates heart rate and force.
Dopamine-1 Tissue
Renal and other splanchnic blood vessels.
Dopamine-1 Action
Dilates Renal &other splanchnic vessels.

M-3: Action
M3: increases peristalsis, increases bladder contraction, increases exocrine gland secretions, bronchoconstriction, contracts the sphincter pupillae (miosis)
