Unresponsive - ABCDE

A
Danger?
Are you okay? Can you hear me? Shout for help.

CRA management - STEP 1:
A
- OPEN AIRWAYS - head tilt chin lift or jaw thrust (C spine compromised). Any obstruction? Sniffing

A
- ABNORMAL BREATHING - look, listen & feel for breath = 10 seconds

- 5 RESCUE BREATHS

A
- FEEL FOR PULSE - 10 secs (brachial in infant, carotid in older child)

A
- 15 CHEST COMPRESSIONS - lower half of sternum, 1 finger breadth above xiphersternum, 1 hand for toddler, 2 fingers for baby. 15:2 at 100-120 bpm
