What’s ivabridine used for and it’s mechanism of action?

A

Symptomatic relief of angina (in patients with HR > 70. And chronic heart failure in addiction to standard therapy.

It inhibits If aka ‘funny channels’ (mixed sodium and potassium channels), found in the heart (eg in the SAN) which are triggered by hyper polarisation.
Delays decreased spontaneous actively of the heart and slows it down.
