What did Cardinal Wolsey do for the king?

A

-He did the King’s work using a dry stamp to sign things as the King.
-Took over routine government, provided money and supplies for the King’s campaigns in France 1513.
-Became Lord Chancellor, which was a top government position.
-15 years as King’s Chief Minister.
-Did a lot for ordinary people, enclosures.
-Gave the nobility a hard time as he was not a noble, he was a butchers’s son.
-Worked on Henry VIII’s nobility policies.
-Tightened up and reformed the tax system for Henry’s campaigns.
