What does inotropic mean?
The strength of the contraction

Primary or essential hypertension

Secondary hypertension
Known cause, usually have an injury to another organ that causes hypertension. Examples include:

Monitor kidney function and assess potassium levels
Beta blockers, how do they work?
By affecting beta, one receptors in the heart decreasing heart rate
What are some considerations with a patient taking beta blockers?
Monitor respiratory status as it’s contraindicated with asthma or COPD patients as it may worsen symptoms. Monitor dizziness, fatigue, and weight levels.
