How to calculate Cardiac Output

A

HR X SV = CO

  • Cardiac output is the volume pumped out from the
    left ventricle over 1 minute
  • Stroke volume is the volume of blood pumped out of the
    left ventricle in one beat
  • Heart rate is how many beats per minute occur.
