What is your dose and concentration for Epi in cardiac arrest?
1mg of 1:10 3x q 3-5 minutes
What is your dose and concentration of Epi for anaphylaxis
0.3mg Epi 1:1000 x1
What are your indications for Epi?
- Pulseless arrest
- Anaphylaxis
- Asthma
- Bradycardia with poor perfusion
What are your contraindications for Epi?
None
What are your adverse reactions for Epi?
- Tachycardia and tachydysthermia
- Hypertension
- Anxiety
- May precipitate angina pectoris
what is your pediatric dose for Epi?
0.01mg/kg (same dose for either concentration)
What is your dose for Adenosine?
12mg repeat 1x Rapid IV push
Indications for adenosine?
Narrow-complex supraventricluar tachyarrhythmia after obtaining 12 leadf
Contraindications for Adenosine?
- Any irregular tachycardia - specifically never administer to an irregular wide-complex tachycardia.
- Heart transplant
What are your adverse reactions for adenosine?
- Chest pain
- Shortness of breath
- Diaphoresis
- Palpitations
- Lightheadedess
What is your dose for Amiodarone?
Pulseless V-tach/V-Fib
1. 300mg IV bolus
2. 150mg IV bolus
Symptomatic V-tach
150mg IV bolus in 100mL bag dripped in over 10minutes with call in to Med Control
What are your indications for Amiodarone?
- Pulseless arrest with V tachycardia or V fib
- Symptomatic V- tach or V-Fib
Contraindications for Amiodarone?
- 2nd or 3rd degree AV Block
- Cardiogenic shock
Precautions for Amiodarone?
- Wide complex irregular tachycardia
- Sympathomimetic toxidromes (cocaine/amphetamine overdose)
Dose for cardiac arrest due to hyperkalemia?
1.Calcium gluconate 10% solution
3 gm (30mL) Slow IV/IO push
- Calcium chloride 10% solution
1 gm (10mL) Slow IV/IO push
