Cardiac Flashcards
If question says QRS depolarization, what is it? Ventricular or atrial?
Ventricular
If they say anything about p-wave..what’s it about?
Atrial
NB- except when they say LACK of p-wave
When question says lack of QRS, what’s going on?
Asystole
When you see the word saw-tooth, what are they talking about?
Flutter
When you see word ‘chaotic’ what are they describing?
Fibrillation
When they say word ‘bizarre’ always refers to:
Tachycardia
So when they say ‘periodic wide bizzare QRS’ what are they referring to?
QRS=ventricular
bizzare=tachycardia
What are the two most lethal arrhythmias?
- asystole
- ventricular fibrillation
What arrhythmia did potentially life threatening?
Ventricular tachycardia (still has cardiac output)
Central venous pressure: normal range, indication
Normal range: 2-8mmHg
Under 2 is dehydration
Over 8 is fluid volume overload
