What is legislative government?
AKA Parliament, this branch of government that has the power to make and change laws. Representatives are called MP’s and they debate issues pass bills.
Complex challenges
Transportation, health care, police force, firefighters, protecting right and freedoms, etc.
How is the LO chosen?
The party with the second most elected representatives is called Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, their leader is the Leader of the Opposition.
How is the PM chosen?
The political party with the most elected representatives is known as the government, their leader is the PM.

The party whip is in charge of making sure all members are present for important votes
What is the Senate
The Senate is referred to as the Upper House of Parliament. It is run by unelected people who cannot create or amend bills.
What does the Judicial branch of the government deal with?
They deal with the law
What makes up the Judicial branch?
It is made up of courts and judges who interpret laws and determine if people are guilty or innocent. There are two court system civil and criminal.
