What is vitiligo?
Pale patches of skin caused by lack of melanin
What is hyperpigmentation?
Dark patches of skin caused by increased melanin
What are keloid scars?
Excess of collagen after injury
Continue to grow after healed
What are hypertrophic scars?
Raised scars
Excess of collagen
What are atrophic scars?
AKA pitted scars
Sunken into the skin
What is erythema?
Reddening of the skin
Caused by rosacea, acne, psoriasis. Excess flow of blood to the skin
What are port wine stains?
Red birth mark caused by abnormal development of blood vessels in the skin
