What is attachment?
Relationship between child and primary caregiver, and the behaviour of the child towards that caregiver

What is meant by affective responsiveness?
Ability of individual to respond to emotional needs of another family member
What is meant by affective involvement?
Degree and quality of concern and interest for one another
Describe anxious avoidant attachment
Child avoids/ignores parent
Little emotional response
Describe anxious ambivalent attachment
Child explores little, wary of strangers
Distressed without caregiver
What is egocentricism?
Only able to consider their own point of view and see it as the only one possible
What is animism?
Belief that everything has a consciousness + feelings
