Taking the active runway
Pilot in the appropriate seat: Final approach path is clear
During the takeoff roll
PM: Power set, airspeed alive, fifty knots cross checked, engine instruments checked, rotate
After rotation Normal or soft field
PM: Positive Rate Out of usable runway PF: Gear up ( positive rate Gear up Yaw dampener Lights )
After rotation short field take off
PM: clear of obstacles PF: flaps fifteen PM: flaps selected fifteen PM: Positive rate Out of usable runway PF: gear up (PM will then go gear up, engage yd, and extinguish lights)
Climbing through 1000’ AGL
Captain starts call… PF: Flaps Zero PM: Flaps selected zero Once flaps indate 0 PM: Flaps indicating zero
Climbing through 2000 AGL Climb checklist when practical
PF: climb check, separator open/closed Pilot flying will decide whether they want the separator open or closed
500’ above da/mad
PM: Five Hundred Above, profile”
1000’ above DA/MDA
PM: One thousand above, profile
100’ above DA/MDA
PM: One Hundred above, profile
Changing Altitudes
PM: climb/descend and maintain — thousand PF: _ thousand set and armed
Once the aircraft is 1000’ below or above the selected altitude:
PM: One thousand to go PF: — thousand climbing /descending — thousand
Once the aircraft is approaching the newly selected altitude:
PM: Approaching — thousand PF: Leveling — thousand
Approaching the destination - Airport Tasks
PM: obtain destination weather and airport approach info within 100 miles out
Approach Tasks within 30 NM
PIC Nav 1 Sic Nav 2 Load the approach into the FMS Load and verify all Freqs and Navs Verify Inbound course is set on both PFDs Set the approach minimums and the autopilot
