Lead Paint Law

A

Home built before 1978. Also if the tenant has a child who lives int he property that is under the age of 6, the current owner must delead.

Within 60 days of closing on the property, the fire department must inspect and issue and smoke detector certificate saying the smoke detectors in the property are sufficient and property working.

A 21E certificate is used to endorse the fact that the property has been cleared of all hazardous waste.
