What is the International Fire Code (IFC)?
A design document. For example, before one constructs a building, the site must be provided with an adequate water supply for fire-fighting and a means of building access for medical emergencies.
IFC also regulates various hazards within a building, such as, high-piled combustible storage and hazardous materials.
