Is a function that relates the gradient to the value of x. Also called the gradient function

Derivative of y = sin(2x) (derivative of sin x)
y’ = 2cos(2x)
Derivative of y = 3cos(2x - 1) (derivative of cos x)
y’ = -6sin(2x - 1)
Derivative of f(x) = e^2x and y = e^(x^2) - 3 (derivative of e^x)
f’(x) = 2e^2x and y’ = 2x * e^(x^2) - 3
Derivative of y = ln (2x + 1) (derivative of ln x)
y’ = 2/(2x + 1)
Derivative of y = (2x + 1)^5 (chain rule)
y’ = 5(2x + 1)^4 * 2(derivative of equation)
y’ = 10(2x + 1)^4
Derivative of y = (2x + 1)(x - 2) (product rule)
u = (2x + 1), v = (x - 2)
u’ = 2, v’ = 1

Derivative of y = 3x - 2 / x + 5 (quotient rule)
