Calculating ECG Flashcards
1
Q
what is the big picture of cardiac axis~?
A
It is a big picture of the functional cardiomyocytes
2
Q
which leads can you use to work out cardiac axis?
A
aVF and Iā- best to use
aVL and II
aVR and III
3
Q
What does an augmented lead that shows equal positive and negative deflection mean?
A
- it means net deflection is close to zero
- therefore the wave of excitation is not moving towards the positive or negative electrode, therefore the axis is about 90 degrees
