Q

Describe SPR

A

There was a problem with the SSR code at some point and CAATS isn’t sure that the target display this correctly correlated with the flight plan.

17
Q

Describe POS

A

this means that CAATS cannot properly process the flight plan because where the aircraft is on the flight plan does not correlate with where CAATS thinks it is. this is usually due to an incorrect boundary time or speed entry so that CAATS is processing the aircraft position inaccurately.

18
Q

Describe LAT

A

the l a t warning is short for lateral and it occurs when an aircraft is 50 nautical miles or more from its flightplan profile. Will this sounds like something that should not happen don’t be alarmed it almost always happens because the flight plan is not updated on purpose. Weather deviations are the most common reason.

Q

Describe H/O Warn

A

flashes the CJS on your data tag when aircraft are close to Sector boundaries to remind you.

20
Q

Describe H/O persist

A

displays data tag after hand off accepted for 3 minutes so you can remember to transfer Communications.

21
Q

Describe Hold Tags

A

displays data tag after handoff accepted until you click on it to remind you to transfer Communications

22
Q

FPL

A

this is the name for a filed flight plan that has not been activated by a boundary estimate or correlated by radar position report. On FPL is the information received from external sectors by our ATOS and is not current in its flight data and therefore cannot be used for control purposes.

23
Q

CPL

A

the name for an FPL that has been activated by a boundary estimate, a position report, or radar position report. The CPL is what we use for controlling aircraft. All the flight plan information should be up-to-date and any discrepancies in a CPL will lead to the ambiguity conditions discussed previously.
