Q

Describe what happens in filtration

A
  • Mixture put through filter paper (has tiny microscopic holes)
  • Filtrate (i.e. water) passes through
  • Residue (i.e. sand) is left on the paper

Q

Describe what happens in crystallisation

A
  • Slowly heat, allow evaporation
    > (leaves saturated solution)
  • Let it cool down
  • Crystals will form
