What is the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR)?

A

SECDEF product produced every 4 years. Legislatively mandated review of DoD strategy and priorities that assessed the threats and challenges that the nation faces and rebalanced DoD strategies, capabilities and forces to address today’s conflicts and tomorrow’s threats. Replaced it with the Defense Strategy Review (DSR).
