Emergency Checklist: Bold Item
Engine Fire in Flight
A
- Mixture control-idle cutoff
- Fuel selector-rotate down to off
- Fuel Pump-off
- Standy battery switch-off
- master switch (alt/bat)-off
- Cabin heat/air-off
- airspeed-100 KIAS. (If fire is not extinguished, increase glide speed to find an airspeed within which airspeed limitations, which will provide an incombustible mixture)
- Forced landing-execute

- Standby battery switch-off
- Master switch (alt/bat)-off
- Vents/cabin air/heat-off
- Fire extinguisher-activate
- Avionics switch (bus 1/2)-off
- All other switches (except magnetos)-off
- WARNING: after fire extinguisher has been used, be sure that the fire is extinguished before exterior isused to remove smoke from the cabin
- Vents/cabin/air-open
- if fire has been extinguished, go to nearest suitable airport or landing area
- Master switch (Alt/Bat) -On
- Avionics Bus 1/2-On
