A

Civil proceeding

  • For purpose of affecting W’s testimony
  • For W to answer relevant qs (BUT this does NOT conclude cross-examination)

Criminal proceeding

  • If D denies conviction => Prosecution may independently prove conviction
  • Felonies/Misdemeanors
