What is a chaplain?
supportive, serving as a counsellor and guide to the psycho-spiritual needs of the staff and patients

What is a lay person? What is the laity?
Members of a religious group who have been baptized but are not part of the clergy. Laity is a person who is not officially part of the clergy or is not religious
