Business impact Analysis Flashcards
RTO (Recovery time objective)
is a key metric in disaster recovery and business continuity planning that defines the maximum acceptable amount of time that an organization can afford to be without a particular system, application, or function after a disruption occurs
RPO (recovery point objective)
is a critical metric in disaster recovery and business continuity planning that defines the maximum acceptable amount of data loss measured in time. Specifically, it indicates the point in time to which data must be restored after a disruption occurs.
MTTR (mean time to repair)
is a metric used in maintenance and reliability engineering to measure the average time taken to repair a system, component, or device after a failure occurs
MTBF (mean time between failures)
a reliability metric that measures the average time elapsed between the occurrence of one failure and the next in a system, component, or piece of equipment
