what are the 4 types of terminations types?

what is retirement?
an individual deciding to leave the workforce as they no longer wish to work
why would an individual retire
earnt enough money over the course of their working life to financially support themselves without work or restricted from working due to their age
what is redundancy
an employee no longer working for a business because there is insufficient work or their job no longer exists
redundancy can happen because of 2 reasons, what r they
no longer enough work for an employee or a group of employees
business cannot afford to pay the current level of employees that they have
explain the difference between Voluntary redundancy and Involuntary redundancy
voluntary redundancy is were manager will be making positions redundant, and provides a group of employees with the opportunity to nominate themselves to become redundant, normally through incentives. were as involuntary notifies that the position has become redundant
what is resignation
an employee voluntarily terminating their own employment, usually to take another job position elsewhere
what is dismissal
• the involuntary termination of an employee who fails to meet required standards or displays unacceptable or unlawful behavior
what are entitlement issues in the termination of employees
annual or long service leave, redundancy pay, notice of termination and justifiable reasons for termination of employee
what is transition issues
This can create transition issues such as financial uncertainty, stress, and difficulty in obtaining new employment
