What do you do if burning continues after daylight hours?
Burning normally only accomplished during daylight hours only. If due to unforeseen circumstances it continues to night, post a watch of two responsible personnel until no probability of fire exists
Safest and preferred method of disposing of black powder?
Dissolution in water as prescribed in OP5.
However current OP5 only covers burning black powder
Maximum amount of black powder that can be burned on a single pad?
Contents of only one container, not exceeding 25lbs, shall be burned at one pad
What must be done to empty black powder cans?
Shall be flashed or thoroughly flushed with water. If flushed, the water must be handled as hazardous waste
Some HE have lesser weight limits for burning, what is the maximum weight of one pile of HE that can be disposed of by burning?

May more than one type of explosive be burned at one time on any single pad?
Only one kind or type of explosive may be burned at one time on any one time except in small quantities, up to 25lbs total of mixed explosives derived from various production operations may be spread and burned as a single explosive unless larger quantities are authorized by NOSSA

Only one container at a time, empty it, replace the lid before another container is open

Should be spread evenly in a uniform thickness the max thickness being limited to 2 in

4000 lbs large web (greater than 3in cartridges) smokeless powder and casting powder
2,000 lbs small webs (less than or equal to 3 in cartridges) smokeless powder
