There is better housing but at more of a cost. Also more commuting

CBD meaning
Lots of shops/offices/commercial buildings. High price of land. tallest/oldest buildings. Lots of population and traffic. busy.
Inner city meaning
Lots of old & joined &terraced houses, without garages or gardens. narrow streets, some small shops and parks. houses originally built for factory workers.
Inner suburb
semi-detached/small detached houses. more bigger and modern. gardens and off street parking. built near edge of city. people often commute to city centre for work
Outer suburb
edge of town/city. contain expensive, detached houses. newer & bigger houses/roads/shops/parks. easy access to facility’s. commute a lot.
Rural-urban fringe
edge of urban area, huge mix of land uses. closer to transport links, little housing. still some farming
