Suitability screening procedure are used to?
-Determine Suitability of Navy & Marine Corps SM & fams in receipt of orders overseas, operational assignments and special duty assignments.
*SM must be screened 30 days after getting orders
*Fam members 60 days

-E6 or above
-in position for min. Of 2 yrs

-Navmed 6600/13: oral exam
-Navmed 6600/14: dental treatment

-2807-1: med his report
-2792: fam med summary
-2792-1: spec. Edu./ early interview summary
Navpers forms
-navpers1300/16: suitability overseas
-navpers 1300/28: overseas screening deficiency report/ early return request
What form must screening mtf complete for each SM & fam
Navmed 1300/1 & 1300/2
Suitably/unsuitably for SM & fam for overseas or remote duty assgn. documented on
Navpers 1300/16
Fam. Who has spec. Needs id during screening
Referred to EFMP coordinator for enrollment and documented on DD forms 2792& 2792-1
Transferring command and SM
Receives orders, initiates med/dental/edu. Screening at supporting MTF
Screening mtf suitably screening coordinator
-collects all paper work/ forms & conducts MTF preliminary review
-forward docs to gaining MTF SSC if suitability inquiry is required
Gaining mtf suitability screening coordinator
Determines local healthcare capabilities and responds to screening mtf ssc within 7 business days
EFMP coordinator
-Appointed by CO in writing
-E-5 or above or civ equivalent
-Min. 2 yrs
MTF CO
Makes med. suitability recommendations on Navpers 1300/16, part 2 and forwards to transferring commands
Transferring CO
-Make suitability determination based on command review and mtf recommendation. Completes and signs Navpers 1300/16, part 4
-responsible for 30/60-day rule
