Q

What is a major danger associated with shipping high density cargoes?

A

High permeability - Amount of space in the cargo holds not occupied by cargo.
This is directly responsible for progressive flooding.
Progressive flooding is responsible for the disappearance of Bulk Carriers- One hold gets breached and easily spreads to other holds.
