Story of Kissagotami
Shows stages of how her life changed. She had a child and was incredibly happy in motherhood but once he was older and passed away she was filled with grief and she tried to bring him back to life but instead learned compassion and was able to overcome her grief and let go
Anatta
No self
Because everything is constantly changing there is no you
The sangha
Purpose is to provide a community that would give the best opportunity for its members to practice the Shanna and attain nibbana in addition to teaching the dharma
5 golden rules
- To protect life and refrain from killing
- Ri respects others property and refrain from stealing
- Speak the truth and don’t lie
- Embrace health and refrain from intoxicants
- Refrain from sexual misconduct
