Craving/Desire
What does the wheel of life represent?
Samsara
When does the wheel of life end?
When you reach Nibbana
What is Samara used to explain?
How the process of rebirth works and how we can escape it
What are Buddhist’s goals in relation to Samsara?
To either achieve Nibbana or get a better Samsaric rebirth
What is at the centre of the wheel of life?
The three root poisonous
How do you get out of Samsara and why do Buddhists want to?
Being in samsara is being stuck in a life of suffering and ignorance
In order to get out, you must destroy the three poisons
What is Sangha?
The community of all the Buddhists including Monks, Nuns and Lay Buddhists
What are the five precepts?
I undertake to abstain from taking life
I undertake to abstain from taking that which is not freely given
I undertake to abstain from the misuse of the senses
I undertake to abstain from wrong speech
I undertake to refrain from taking drugs or alcohol which cloud the mind
What is the noble eightfold path?
Eight ways of thinking, speaking and behaving that you should follow if you want to reach Nibbana (the end of suffering)
