She dies, 10 days after SG is born.

What is the affect of the Old man?
Shocks SG as he has never seen someone “old” before

SG realises sickness is a reality of life

Even kings will die.

Confuses SG and inspired him to learn more about suffering

How does Mara try to distract SG whilst he is meditating under a tree?
Fires arrows at SG, but they turn the other way before reaching him. Mara also uses young girls to dance infront of SG to distract him. SG resists.
How does Buddha become enlightened?
An apple falls on his head, causing him to become awakened.
What does Buddha do after becoming enlightened?
He returns to the forest, finds the monks and teaches them the middle way. They become the first Buddhists and travelled around to spread Buddhism.
