What is Brownian motion
The random zig zag motion of particle as they collide and bump into each other

What did he observe
He observed under a microscope the strange zig zag movement of pollen grains in water
What was his first thought
That because the plants pollen came from was alive so he pollen was alive
What did he then do
He tried the experiment again with things he new were not alive
What happened the second time he tried the experiment and what did Robert brown do
They moved in the same way
This confused him as he new they were not alive so he gave up
What actually caused the pollen grains to move
The water particles bombarding the pollen particles
Why couldn’t we see the water

They were too small
They needed lots of water particles together to push the pollen
