Bronte Flashcards
Bronte- Directing
Summary: Give a brief outline of what is happening in the provided scene.
Intentions: How do I want the audience to feel about the scene? What is the mood you are trying to create? What style are you using for you production?
Context: How can the play context be connected to the scene? This might be to do with the Bronte’s and their place in literature; the influence of gender equality on the Bronte’s lives; or the fact that this is a modern interpretation of their story in on expressionistic style.
> Choose 3 quotes = EXPLAIN- describe precisely what you would direct the performer to do. JUSTIFY- why have I decided this fits the moment? How does it fit the wider play?

EXPLAIN- precisely= plausible and clearly. JUSTIFY- why I’ve decided it fits the moment, how does it fit the wider play.
