cough less than 30 days
productive cough
no hx of chronic resp illness
dx of exclusion
RF for acute bronchitis
infection exposure
smoking
pollen
ix for acute bronchitis
clinical dx
mx of acute bronchitis
observation
antipyretic
if >30 days consider ddx
consider salbutamol
consider antitussive (dextromethorphan) if severe cough
complications of acute bronchitis
chronic cough
pneumonia
