What is a Nation
A body of people united by common history, culture, language, and/or territory.
State
A nation or territory that has its own political organization and government
Sovereignty
Supreme power or authority of a state to govern itself or another state
Empire
A system of government with one central authority or principal country that rules over other countries, territories, provinces, colonies dominions, ect.
Autonomy
Level of independence or self rule within colonies
Foreign Affairs
International interactions of a country
Alliance
A formal agreement among soverin countries indicating that they will help and cooperate with each other
Tripple Entite
Alliance between the UK, France and Germany
Civil liberties
personal rights and freedom which the government which
can’t impose upon without due process
Imperialist
the policy of extending an empire or nation’s rule over foreign countries or acquiring and holding colonies
Protectionist
The economic policy of restricting trade between countries through tariffs on imported goods, restrictive quotas, and other governmental restrictions designed to allow for competition between imports and goods produced.
Nationalism
The idea of promoting the interests of a particular nation.
