“Before V1 I say ‘stop’ or ‘go’. If I say ‘stop’, I’m gonna apply MAX REV, keep the ACFT on the CL, until it comes to a halt. Stow the REVs, set the PRK BRK, and do the PA ‘attention crew at stations’. Your actions will be checking the REV deployed by saying ‘REV GREEN’, and then ‘DECEL’, but you do not say ‘70 kts’. After I set the PRK BRK you call the TWR (use ‘mayday’ if it is case) stating ‘stopped on the RWY’. At this moment we come back together, breath, sit on our hands, understand what’s happening, and only then action the ECAM (if it is the case). For inextinguishable fire, or life threatening situation, we get prepared for an EVAC. If not, I gather more info by speaking to the fire chief, with the TWR, Purser, we speak with each other, and anybody relevant at the moment, to make the best decision. Reinforcing: EVAC only in an EMER.” “If I say ‘go’, I/you (whoever is the PF) fly the ACFT. In case of ENG failure, the correct call is ‘ENG failure’ only (no identification). The purpose of the call is to let the PF know the pitch target is 10°. That being said I/you pitch to 10°, and fly a straight line, using the RWY TRK as reference (then the non- STD EOSID, if it is the case). With the ACFT safely airborne, properly trimmed, the AP may be engaged. Loudspeaker: verbalize whenever removing the boom-set “headsets off, loudspeaker on”. 6. ISIS on QNH, and TCAS Below: after the APP Briefing is complete, select the QNH on the ISIS, and TCAS below.
