A

A

MIOT is structured in 4 terms, each 6 weeks long. the titles for each term are

  • (MIM) Military introduction module
  • (DEV1) Development module 1
  • (DEV2) Development module 2
  • (consol) consolidation module

what is term 1 - MIM Military introduction module for?

A

the Military introduction module is used to induct sivilians into service life by teaching them all of the basic military skills they require in order to prepare them for the remainder of the course.

what is term 2 - DEV1 development module 1 for?

A

development module 1 is focused on introducing leadership to the officer cadets but in a way that the officer cadets will learn more about themselves. learning to lead themselves in order to lead others.

A

Development module 2 is set to explore leadership through practice and developmeng focusing on command and control and indepth elements of RAF leadership.

what is term 4 - Consol - consolidation

A

the consolidation term is where the officer cadets will bring together all of their new learnt skills and have the chance to show what they have gained from the course material. it is also a time where students will prepare for graduation and their transition onto phase 2 training.

what are the benefits of modularity

A

modularity benefits the serving airmen of the airforce by cutting out the training that they are already familiar with and allows them to join at a seperate point where they will pick up training that is new to them. all members of the course will then finish at the same time.
