Q

How do u calculate water of crystallisation

A
  1. Find mass of anyhdrous salt by doing mass of hydrous salt - mass of water
  2. Find mass of water lost by mass of hydrated salt- mass of residue after heating
  3. Do mass over mr to get ratio for anhydrous salt and water
  4. Divide by smallest find simplest whole number ratio
