A chemstick tied to a string swung overhead, used to mark a friendly position.
What does CAPTURED mean?
Specified surface target/object has been acquired and is being tracked with an on-board sensor.
What is CHATTERMARK?
Begin using briefed radio procedures to counter communications jamming.
What does CHERRY indicate?
Informative call from ISR or CAS platform to the inbound aircraft that LZ/HLZ/DZ has enemy activity above the pre-briefed risk tolerance of the GFC. Opposite of and cancels ICE.
What does CHERUBS refer to?
Height of a friendly aircraft in hundreds of feet above surface.
What does CLEARED HOT mean?
Type 1 and 2 CAS terminal attack control clearance to release ordnance on this pass.
What does CLEARED TO ENGAGE signify?
Type 3 CAS terminal attack control clearance.
What does CONTACT mean?
Acknowledges sighting of a specified reference point (either visually or via sensor).
CONTINUE
Continue present maneuver, does not imply a change in clearance to engage or expend ordnance.
CONTINUE DRY
Continue present maneuver, ordnance release not authorized.
Note: Simulated weapons deliveries may be performed.

Aircraft position within flight.
ENGAGEMENT COMPLETE
Mandatory call from the attack aircraft to the joint terminal attack controller or forward air controller during Type 3 close air support terminal control indicating completion of ordnance release.

Weapons impact within lethal distance.
ICE
Informative call from ISR or CAS platform to the inbound aircraft that LZ/HLZ/DZ has enemy activity below the pre-briefed risk tolerance of the GFC.
Opposite of and cancels CHERRY.
JINK
Perform an unpredictable maneuver to negate a tracking solution.
What does JOKER refer to in aviation?
Fuel state above BINGO at which separation/bug out/event termination should begin.
