ABORT
Cease action / attack/ event/ mission FAC directs aircrew to abort the attack. This is a mandatory instruction.

- Involved in a visual flight and unable to leave.
- Orbit about a specific point; refuelling track flown by tanker.

Height of friendly aircraft in thousands of ft from mean sea level (MSL).
ANYFACE
Friendly GCI / AEW & CS / C2 agency when callsign is not known.
AS FRAGGED
Unit performing exactly as stated by the ATO.
AUTHENTICATE
To request a response for a coded challenge
AUTOCAT
Comms relay using automatic retransmission.
BANDIT
An aircraft identified as enemy, in accordance with theatre identification (ID) criteria.
BARRIER
Set up barrier as indicated (e.g. sonobuoy axix position).
BASE (plus number)
Reference Number to indicate info, such as hdgs, alt, fuels, grids etc.
BEADWINDOW
Your last transmission disclosed an essential element of friendly information.
BENT
Identified system is inoperative.
BINGO
Fuel state needed for recovery.
BIRD
Friendly Surface-to-air missle.
BLEMISH
Notification of possible blue-on-blue (fratricide) or blue-on-neutral situation.
BLIND
No visual contact with FRIENDLY aircraft/ground position. Opposite of VISUAL.
BOGEY
Unidentified aircraft.
BOGEY DOPE
Request target information (BRAA) to the specified target. If a treat is not specified Bearing/Range will be given to the closest threat.
BREAK (direction)
Perform „An immediate max performance turn in the direction indicated“.
