What is colostrum?

A

Early milk
Lower in volume
Compared to mature milk, it’s higher in anti-infective, anti-viral properties, richer in protein, richer in minerals, lower in carbs, fat and some minerals
Important for priming and protecting baby’s gut, has laxative effect
