Local Therapy for Breast Cancer

Whole Breast Radiation
Given five times per week for 5 to 6 weeks
Adjuvant Treatment
Treatment that occurs after the surgical removal of cancer. Aimed at preventing reoccurrence of the disease.

- Letrozole (Femara)
- Exemestane (Aromasin)
HER2/neu
- A protein that is associated with a more aggressive subtype of breast cancer.
- 20 to 30% of breast tumors express this protein.
