Mostly benign, can be cancerous
Localised discrete mass

- Abnormalities of pecoralis muscle
- Upper limb abnormality
- Hypoplasia/ absence of breast
Lymph stages of breast
Pectoralis minor stages
1: lateral to pec minor
2: beneath pec minor
3: medial to pec minor
Adjuvant chemotherapy
At least 4 cycles
Adriamycin
Cyclophosphamide
OR
5-fluorouracil, epirubicin and cyclophosphamide
Complications of breast surgery
Intercostobrachial nerve: numbness and paraesthesia down upper inner arm
Long thoracic nerve: serratous anterior, winging of scapula
Thoracodorsal nerve: atrophy of the latissimus dorsi muscle
Frozen shoulder
Lymphoedema from axillary dissection
