Bread Flashcards
new beginning, becomes something else, transformed, through her hands and creativity, intimate, focusing on her fingers
re-created
by her fingers
Bread making process, intimate, tender, affectionate, soft, gentle, delicate, simile
Moulding is more delicate
Than a first kiss
he was fine in the field, but merely fine. He fits in with everything else but doesn’t feel wonderful, nothing magical happening
I am fine
As anything in
This legendary garden
His life has meaning and significance now, her creativity is poured into him and gives him life, his existence was meaningless until he was transformed, came to life once he met his love, feels his best self when he’s in love, brings out best in him
also admires her skill, she’s god-like to him almost
Yet I am nothing till
She runs her fingers through me
And shapes me with her skill
pain - aggressive, she does this to let air out (in dough?),
she slits my face
And stabs my chest
the process is painful for the wheat, but he’s still marvelling at her work showing how skillful she is.
Absolute is capitalised, like how God is capitalised, no wavering on perfection, she’s god-like
Her feeling for perfection is
Absolute
He met her expectations, he’s taken on this new form + became something new like an artist having an idea in their head and it coming to fruition
Shaped like her dream
cycle of life - born, live, die, go back into hearth, he becomes all he can be/his best self with her/bc of her
I am all that can happen to men
- she’ll eat him
- originally came from her mind/idea, will go back into her
- he has been eaten before, digested, excreted, used as fertilised, grow wheat, eaten, cycle repeats again
I will go back into her again
