How are Senators appointed?
Senators are appointed by the Governor General on the advice of the Prime Minister
What exactly does the Senate do?
The Senate can pass or reject any bill it examines, and can also initiate them. They also investigate important public problems.
How are the members of the House of Common appointed?
They are elected by the people during an election.

What does each MP represent?
They each represent a constituency (district) of a province or territory.
How many weeks does the Parliament sit for?
27 weeks
What usually happens in a session in the Parliament?
Committee reports reports are presented, documents are recorded, ministers make statements, petitions are presented, bills are introduced, and law is debated

The Question Period!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do ministers enjoy the Question Period?
Ministers must defend their activities of their departments and the policies of the government in the members of the House
What does the Speaker of the House do?
They make sure there is an orderly flow of business proceeding though the House of Commons
