Theoretical Sociology
Different theories start with KARL MArX, AUGUSTE COMTE, MAX WEBER, EMILY DURKHEIM, and more. These theories are based on theoretical perspectives and assumptions from social systems.
Example: Sociologists analyze theories, such as the theories from Emily Durkheim “theory of suicide”.
Historical Sociology
It’s considered to be the study of social facts and social groups. The answers to different questions are given like now and when different social groups or organizations originated.
Example: Sociologists analyze the study of the history of Romans and Greeks.
Social of Knowledge
This branch helps to gain knowledge of social phenomena. They come to the conclusion that highlight how knowledge is always influenced by society.
Criminology
Studies the criminal behavior of people or groups of people. Many questions are answered through it, like the begging of crime, its causes, type of nature, as well as the law, police, and punishment.
Social of Religion
Studies the structure of religion in social systems. It analyzes the social behavior of human beings towards religion and their faith, along with studying of religious constitutions and their role in society.
Social of Economy
Studies the production, distribution, consumption, and exchanges of goods and services.
Rural Sociology
Studies the way of life of rural people as the rural population is higher than urban. Patterns of life such as behavior, belief, culture, traditions, norms, values and more.
Urban Sociology
Studies the ways of life of urban people. Gives details about social organizations, social structures, and social interactions.
Political Sociology
Studies different political moments of society. It includes the study of the political ideologies of individuals, their origin, development, and functions. It helps to understand the factors on which political decisions are taken.
Sociology of Demography
There are studies about the size, situation, competition, density, distribution, and measurements of the population. Sociologists study the distribution of the human population with analysis.
Sociology of Law
This branch and the legal system are considered an integral part of society. Law is one of the important means of social control and it’s related to other different social subsystems.
Industrial Sociology
It is concerned with the industrial relationship of human beings. it studied social organizations and institutions.
