What are some examples of brain tumours?
A
Glioblastoma multiforme - MC primary tumour in adults
Meningioma - 2nd MC in adults

What is squamous cell carcinoma (SCC)?
A
A common variant of skin cancer

What are the RF for SCC?
A
- Excessive exposure to sunlight / UVA therapy
- Actinic keratoses
- Immunosuppression e.g. following renal transplant, HIV
- Smoking
- Long-standing leg ulcers (Marjolin’s ulcer)
- Genetic cdtns e.g. xeroderma pigmentosum, oculocutaneous albinism
- Actinic keratoses (also called solar keratoses) are dry, scaly patches of skin that have been damaged by the sun

Sx of SCC?
A
- Typically on sun-exposed sites such as the head and neck or dorsum of the hands and arms
- Rapidly expanding painless, ulcerate nodules
- May have a cauliflower-like appearance
- May be areas of bleeding
