• Left face and arm weakness (UMN)
• Left hemineglect
• Some cases, left face and arm cortical-type sensory loss

Answer 2

• Profound left hemineglect
• Left visual field, somatosensory deficits
• Motor neglect, decreased voluntary or spontaneous initiation of movements on left side
• Mild, left sided weakness present
• Right gaze preference (especially at onset)

Deficits of Right MCA deep territory infarct

• Left pure motor hemiparesis (UMN)
• Larger infarcts may produce “cortical” deficits, left hemineglect

• left homonymous hemianopia
• Profound left hemineglect
• Right gaze preference (especially at onset)
