Q

Thalamus

A

“Relay station.” All sense information is relayed through the thalamus (except smell). After processed it is sent to the cerebral cortex for interpretation.

Oval Shaped. Found within the hypothalamus.

Q

Frontal Lobe

A

Voluntary movement, expressive language, executive functions like the ability to: plan, organize, initiate, self-monitor, and control.

Most advanced part of brain.

16
Q

Occipital Lobe

A

Visual perception, including: color, form, and motion.

Located at the furtherst point behind the eyes.

17
Q

Temporal Lobe

A

Processes auditory information. Encoding of memory.

Behind forehead
