relays and filters information from the senses to the cerebral cortex
hypothalamus
regulates body temperature, hunger, thirst, and sexual behaviour. in charge of fighting, fleeing, feeding, & mating
pituitary gland
mastergland of hormone producing, controls stress, digestion, & reproduction
medulla oblongata
controls vital processes such as heartbeat, blood pressure, and breathing
